Alice-Marie Hutchison to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry

Alice-Marie Hutchison's expertise is in child welfare and social service program management.

    COLLEGE PARK, GA, July 28, 2010 /Education PR News/ -- Alice-Marie Hutchison, Program Director for the Fulton County Department of Family and Children Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in her career.

As the Program Director for the Fulton County Department of Family and Children Services, Ms. Hutchison encourages staff members to increase their self-awareness and reliance, oversees the development of community partnerships, oversight for quality assurance record audits in the Office of Child Protection, and mentors and coaches new staff members. She also directs the 24-Hour Family Resource Center and, since 2008, has been serving as a Practicum Instructor for Master of Social Work students at the University of Georgia, Georgia State University and Clark Atlanta University. Committed to social change, she believes her talents and being blessed to be a blessing attributes to her success to her dedication, hard work, the support she receives from her family, and her ability to mentor and affect change in others.

In recognition of her work, Ms. Hutchison received The Margaret G. Baker Second Chance Award from the MSK Foundation for Women, Inc. in 2009. She earned a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Clark Atlanta University in 2006 and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Human Services from Capella University. A civic-minded person, she has served on boards of nonprofit organizations. She is also a Certified Wedding and Event Professional as well as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of Social Workers. She names My Sister's Keeper Foundation for Women Inc. as her favorite cause. Looking to the future, Ms. Hutchison hopes to start a transitional living program for teen mothers and establish her private practice.
