25 Outstanding Students from Chapter's High School Mentoring Program to Attend Annual Historically Black Colleges & Universities Tour in October

NEW YORK, NY, May 25, 2011 /Education PR News/ -- The Metro New York Chapter of the National Black MBA Association hopes to send 25 outstanding high school students on an annual Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Tour this fall. The students are part of College Awareness Symbolizes Hope (C.A.S.H.), a six-month mentoring program for New York high school students. C.A.S.H. provides the tools and resources to help students prepare for the college application process and their future careers.

Every year, the Chapter partners with the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Eta Theta Lambda Chapter to send C.A.S.H. students on the HBCU Tour. With generous donations, the Chapter hopes to reward 25 high school students with the opportunity to participate in the 30th Annual ETL HBCU Tour on October 23-30, 2011.

Students who participate on the tour will interact with college tour chaperones who are professionals in fields such as business, education and medicine, meet with college professors and administrators, participate in college preparatory counseling and seminars, and more.

The tour costs $625 per student and includes transportation and hotel accommodations.

Checks can be made out to "Metro New York Chapter - National Black MBA Association, Inc." and mailed to P.O. Box 8135, New York, NY 10116.

The Chapter is also accepting donations at www.nyblackmba.org/hbcutour.php.
