International Academy of Hair Design Opens New School in Mesa's Fiesta Mall
International Academy of Hair Design, 1445 W. Southern Ave. is scheduled to open a new school in Mesa's Fiesta Mall on July 1.
MESA, AZ, June 29, 2011 /Education PR News/ -- International Academy of Hair Design, 1445 W. Southern Ave. is scheduled to open a new school in Mesa's Fiesta Mall on July 1.
To kick off the opening, the school will offer military personnel, their parents, siblings and children 50% off of any service and 20% off Peter Hantz, Asazi, eXo and Madrid's products July 1 and 2.
The special will be honored at all the International Academy of Hair Design cosmetology schools in Arizona, as well as its sister schools in Florida, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
IAHD moved to Fiesta Mall from its former location, 3350 N. Arizona in Chandler. The new venue is a larger site with more than 7,000 square feet of space. The cosmetology school includes an upscale salon atmosphere where students perform services under supervision of licensed cosmetology instructor.
"International Academy of Hair Design's new location in Mesa not only gives us more space and parking, we will also have access to more foot traffic for clients to come in and receive discounted services," said Jessica Wolman, one of the owners of the school. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists will increase much faster than average. This will primarily come from an increasing population, which will lead to greater demand for basic hair services. Additionally, the demand for hair coloring and other advanced hair treatments has increased in recent years, particularly among baby boomers and young people. This trend is expected to continue, leading to a favorable outlook for hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists.
IAHD offers a program in Cosmetology that includes hair, skincare, make-up and nails, as well as an Instructor course outline for those who want to teach. The sister school in Tempe also offers one of the most comprehensive educational programs in aesthetics in the state of Arizona.
