SHOREVIEW, MN, June 23, 2011 /Education PR News/ -- TSI Incorporated is pleased to announce that nationally recognized instructors, Dr. Roy McKay of the University of Cincinnati and Craig E. Colton, CIH with M.C. Townsend Associates, are offering valuable respiratory protection training in one-and two-day courses held at locations throughout the country. Designed for all levels of experience, these experts teach current standards regulating respiratory protection, approved fit testing methods and correct techniques to administer and maintain a successful respiratory protection program.
Proper respiratory protection is a common problem. In fact, in 2010, Respiratory Protection was in the top five most-cited OSHA violations for general industry. To help improve your risk management program, and comply with regulations, these Respiratory Protection Workshops present a thorough overview of the OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard (29CFR 1910.134), as well as guidelines on when respirator fit testing is necessary.
Attendees will also receive valuable hands-on quantitative fit test (QNFT) and qualitative fit test (QLFT) training with the TSI PortaCount(R) Respirator Fit Tester for QNFT and Qfit(TM) Respirator Fit Tester for QLFT. Interpreting fit test results and common mistakes will also be covered. At the completion of each workshop participants will be eligible for Continuing Education credits.
