Ernie Buutveld Joins The Class Of Stanford Who's Who

As Principal of Havelock School, as well as throughout his brilliant professional career, Ernie has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

Havelock School is an elementary school set on the edge of the beautiful Marlborough sounds, creating an attractive learning environment for the community's youngsters. The educational institution sets no fees as the goodwill and fundraising within the community is enough to provide students with numerous extras. The school enjoys a high level of community support and pupils are regularly able to go on local outings.

Mr. Buutveld has over 20 years of experience as a teaching principal in a variety of smaller schools. During his collegiate career, he earned a Trained Teacher's Certificate and Diploma of Education from the Teachers College. Ernie is the former President of the New Zealand Principals' Federation. He has also been president of the Marlborough Principals' Association, NZEI branch (Nelson) president, active within the NZEI Member Assist network and was recently conferred as Associate NZEI.
