Mike Pemberton is Awarded Membership into Stanford Who's Who
Mike Pemberton has been admitted as a new member of Stanford Who's Who for his commitment and innovation in the Education Industry.
QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA November 28, 2011 /Education PR News/ --Mike Pemberton has been admitted as a new member of Stanford Who's Who for his commitment and innovation in the Education Industry. As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, Mike continues to demonstrate his inescapable dedication to education as he teaches a substantial 24 courses even in his current retired status.
Originating from an innate passion for mathematics, Mike earned a Masters Degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University, followed by an Honors Degree in German and English, and a Graduate Degree in Education. Mike would inevitably follow his path to become a Mathematics professor, but the paramount educator Mike became could hardly be predicted. Highly regarded among students and staff, Mike strives to befriend each and every student allowing him to connect to each individual and teach in relation to the world that surrounds them. This seemingly ordinary goal is everything but, as Mike teaches to a collection of 700 students in each course amplifying his efforts exponentially.
Widely recognized as a professor who goes above and beyond the expectations, Mike is also noted for implementing MAPLE Software, a groundbreaking technology that he has proven as an extremely useful teaching tool. Evidencing his achievements throughout his more than 30 year career, is an assortment of awards including the University of Queensland Award for Teaching Excellence, the Esso Award for Teaching Engineers and the prestigious Stanley Foundation Award, which has only been awarded to three other research groups in the past. As an active lifelong learner, Mike continues to conduct valuable research using computer modeling for a variety of clients encompassing areas such as brain anatomy, plant germination, wildlife, healthcare and environmental studies.
