Jan Neighbor is an accomplished education professional
PATERSON, NJ, May 19, 2011 /Education PR News/ -- Jan Neighbor, Department Chairwoman at the Rosa L. Parks School of Fine and Performing Arts, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education administration.
Celebrating her 35th year in the education field, Ms. Neighbor is a respected member of her professional community. At the Rosa L. Parks School of Fine and Performing Arts, where she is a department chairwoman, she carries out the district plans for educational improvement and works with both students and teachers.
Ms. Neighbor, who earned a master's degree in urban education from New Jersey City University, became involved in her profession with the encouragement of her parents, both of whom were teachers. A member of the ASCD, she looks forward to future successes and intends to become an adjunct professor of writing some day. Ms. Neighbor is also the director of the women's division of USA-New Jersey Wrestling; she facilitates opportunities for female wrestlers to participate in state and national competitions.
