Lore K. Benitez Exhibits Excellence in English Education
Lore Benitez aspires to help at-risk students get accepted into college
LONG BEACH, CA, May 12, 2011 /Education PR News/ -- Lore K. Benitez, English Teacher for LBUSD, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
Ms. Benitez has served as an educator in the Southern California area for three decades. With expertise in literature and writing, she teaches English exclusively to middle school and high school students of the Long Beach Unified School District. Throughout her career, she has received numerous recognitions for her work, including being named the L.A. Lakers Teacher of the Month and Lawry's Teacher of the Year. In her own words, Ms. Benitez attributes her success to "the most loving, kind, goal-setting parents one could have."
Pursuing a master's degree in education, Ms. Benitez holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication, an English credential and an International Baccalaureate certification. She is also certified to teach multiple subjects to students from kindergarten to adult age. Her professional affiliations include the California Scholarship Federation, California Teachers Association, and California Association for the Gifted.
In addition to her passion for language arts and teaching, Ms. Benitez is a professionally trained vocalist and has been involved with music for most of her life. She was inspired to venture into a career in education through the influence of two music teachers and one English teacher. Her future aspirations include teaching abroad, becoming involved in Studentsfirst.org, and establishing a program for at-risk students, where they can receive one-on-one attention in order to graduate high school and become accepted into college.
