Dr. Charles W. Acher Earns Membership With Stanford Who's Who

Acher to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of his outstanding work in the Healthcare Industry. As a Professor and MD of Vascular Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, as well as throughout his incredible 28 year professional career, Dr. Archer has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
The Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin offers one of the leading surgical programs in the nation, excelling in patient care, surgical education, and surgical research. They are comprised of more than 100 full-time faculty and 500 additional full-time staff who support their mission. Their surgeons perform almost 22,000 operations per year for pediatric and adult patients in the specialties of cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, transplant surgery and vascular surgery.
Dr. Archer is responsible for performing clinical surgery, clinical research and teaching residents. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery, with a certificate of additional qualifications in vascular surgery. Dr. Archer's clinical interests include prevention of ischemic spinal cord injury in repair of thoraco-abdominal aneurysms, renal and visceral arterial occlusive disease, minimally invasive endovascular surgery, treatment of cerebral vascular occlusive disease for stroke prevention, and limb salvage in severe vascular disease.
During his collegiate career, Dr. Archer earned his Medical degree at Indiana University Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Archer also completed a Fellowship in GI and Peripheral Vascular Surgery at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in England. In addition, he is a Peripheral Vascular Fellow at the Baylor College of Medicine.
