AGAWAM, MA, July 6, 2011 /Education PR News/ -- Brian J. Baird, MLS, Vice President of Bridgeport National Bindery, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in library services and preservation management.
Brian J. Baird has 19 years of experience in the field and has dedicated the past three years to serving as vice president of Bridgeport National Bindery, Inc. His areas of expertise include library science and marketing. He is responsible for overseeing the conservation of library materials, sales and customer service, publishing, printing, binding, and creating cover design. Bridgeport National Bindery, Inc. is a printing and binding company that provides preservation and binding services for libraries, print on demand, digitization and conservation binding, as well as photobook printing.
Prior to joining Bridgeport National Bindery, Inc., Mr. Baird worked as a conservator for Princeton University and at other university libraries. He attributes his success to his passion for library science and the support he receives from his family. He became involved in his profession because of his educational background. The highlight of his career was in 2000, when he received the Piercy Award from the American Library Association.
Mr. Baird received a master of library science in 1991 and a bachelor's degree in psychology in 1990, both from Brigham Young University. He is a recipient of the American Library Association Distinguished Librarian Award from The University of Kansas.
