James Griggs helped build the High Street Community Church by volunteering his woodworking skills

CONNEAUT LAKE, PA, July 15, 2011 /Education PR News/ -- James C. Griggs, Retired Teacher, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in industrial arts.

Mr. Griggs taught high school industrial arts, mathematics, drafting and engineering for 37 years. In 1964, Mr. Griggs earned a bachelor's degree in industrial arts from the California University of Pennsylvania. He earned a master's degree in technology and industrial arts from the same institution ten years later. During the 1970s, Jim enjoyed skydiving.

Mr. Griggs attributes his success to the support of his parents and grandfather; he worked for his father in construction and helped him build several gas stations for Sinclair Oil Corporation, Atlantic Richfield and Gulf Oil. An active member of his community, Mr. Griggs was instrumental to the formation of the local ambulance service and helped build the High Street Community Church by volunteering his woodworking skills.
