Dr. Scott LeRoy Crane Honored for Excellence in Educational Administration
Dr. Scott L. Crane has created the Professional Learning Community Wheel of Support, for teachers in his district
BLACKFOOT, ID, August 30, 2011 /Education PR News/ -- Dr. Scott Crane, Superintendent of Schools for Blackfoot School District No. 55, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in educational administration.
With a passion for working with children, Dr. Crane is a former teacher who felt that he could do more for students in the field of administration. He has served as the superintendent of schools for Blackfoot School District for the past four years. In this role, he specializes in the educational leadership and financial management of his district. He manages all facets of education, including curriculum, public relations, district vision, transportation and food services. One way Dr. Crane has provided educational leadership is by creating and implementing a system he calls the Professional Learning Community Wheel of Support. The spokes of the wheel represent Total Instructional Alignment, Parent Involvement, Response to Intervention, Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol and Data Driven Decision Making.
Dr. Crane has a Doctor of Education in educational leadership from Idaho State University and 25 years of professional experience. A member of The National Scholars Honor Society, he serves on the board of the Idaho School Superintendents' Association. In the years to come, Dr. Crane aspires to create growth and positive change through a 21st century educational system. He attributes his success to his work ethic, diligence, and problem-solving capabilities.
